The end of the season is quickly approaching on the west coast. Most of the salmon are in the rivers now and the winds are starting to blow up on a more serious basis. Getting offshore now is more a stroke of luck than a good bet.

We had a great year, our busiest ever. We got more guys fishing out of our place in Bamfield than we've ever had before. The fishing was very good at the beginning of the season and more guys are starting to come out here in June and even May. Some of our best fishing out here over the last two years was early in the season. We're looking even more forward to next season, as the phone's already ringing for next year.

We'll be fishing the prawns pretty soon, and the winter springs won't be far off either.
