Good amounts of bait, mostly shrimp, have showed up in Barkley Sound this week and there are some good size springs in there feeding right now. We got a doubleheader at Effingham yesterday of 18 lbers and they were stuffed full of those little shrimp. The humpy's are out there feeding, along with lot's of birds. We marked several big schools of bait on the sounder on Sunday out near Folger too. It's been a cold winter out there and with this last stretch of good weather we have seen it warm up and signs of life on the water are coming back. A new fishing season is finally here.
Time to dust off the rods, fuel up the boat and get out here.
Tight lines,
Brad
