The halibut fishing offshore continues to be really strong. There's lot's of chickens out there and they have been coming up in good numbers. We've been offshore 5 of the last 7 days and everyone but one day has been pretty good weather. The dogfish are here too, so we had to switch over some days from jigging herring, salmon bellies and octopus over to grubs and trolling. Slack tide seems to be when the most activity has been, but we've been scratching them up all throughout the mornings.

Coho started showing up this week on the Big Bank, mostly wild ones right now, and the early ones are your typical size of 5-8 pounds at this time of year.

The springs have been between 80 feet and the bottom and limits of those have been normal this week. Glow, white and army truck hoochies have been pretty consistent this week, and we had a couple in the boat this week in the high 20's from offshore. Our biggest, a 28, we got dragging 240 feet down in the mud just off the Gully, but most have been up around 100 feet.

The salt ice plant and the vacuum packer have been going steady and there are lot's of fish out here right now.

We only have 1 trip left in July and 2 trips left in August, so if you are hoping to get out here this year, don't leave it to the last minute.

Tight lines,

ML
