The prawning right now is great just outside of Bamfield, and probably will stay like this through the winter. There are lots of big females around right now, that will soon be spawning and plenty of 3 year olds as well. We've been averaging 200-300 in eight traps in overnight soaks, and these are big prawns too, not little 2 year olds.

There are some winter springs around the harbour as well as at Sanford, and they've been coming up on glow, white and glow stripe hootchies from 120-150 feet.

The weather has been great this fall and hopefully will continue. We haven't even had a power outage yet!

Come on out for a couple nights for some fantastic prawn fishing, maybe try your luck for winter springs, set the crab traps and just relax. Winter specials are in effect right now and it's only $99/night to stay!
