Halibut fishing right now is going great out here. Charters on the weekend picked up some big ones, the largest being 72lbs...and not too far off Beale either. 10 miles is about as far as we've been going and anchoring most of the time.

For you guys who haven't experienced anchoring for halibut you have to try it, and we're teaching guests now if you are interested. We'll tell you what gear to get, go out out on your boat with you, show you how to set it all up, and do some fishing. You leave with the gear and the knowledge to do it yourself.

With current limits at one, it's nice to put some decent size fish in the boat and anchoring is the best way we've found so far to do that.

Jeff's going to jump on here pretty quick with a salmon report, so keep checking back.

Tight lines,

Millsy
