Tapaltos Beach is a beautiful crescent shaped west coast with a gradual slope and is quite wide at a nice low tide. There are several spots to camp here, and it makes a lovely spot for a picnic, or a break for hikers headed out to Cape Beale .
Directions:
About 1.5 km (40 min.) in from the trailhead you will come to a junction on the trail that is marked. Hikers can travel from here to Keeha Beach , or to Tapaltos Beach and the Cape Beale headlands.
The Tapaltos Bay Trail swings westward and crosses the Kichha Lake slough over a fallen log. The trail to Tapaltos Beach is approximately 2km (allow 1hr.) from this junction.
